Tel'enfenim, da'len Irassal ma ghilas Ma garas mir renan Ara ma'athlan vhenas Ara ma'athlan vhenas | Never fear, little one, Wherever you shall go. Follow my voice-- I will call you home. I will call you home. |
Clan Ashara currently resides in a small valley nestled into the mountains, that seems idyllic for a Dalish clan. A stream runs through the valley, descending into a waterfall with the steep cliffs on one side, and sheer mountain walls going straight up on two other sides. The only way in and out is through a gap big enough to lead several aravels through. It's a defensible position, safe from any threats. Except the fade rift that has opened up just a little ways from the gap. The hunters can handle the demons spewing from it well enough, and there are always a couple stationed there to pick off whatever appears. But it's too dangerous to lead the aravels and noncombatants through, and thus, they are forced to wait. To compound the issue, there's a village close to where they're currently staying, and while both sides have kept to themselves, neither are pleased with the current situation. They've helped get a message to the Inquisition in hopes that someone will come take care of the problem, and now both are tensely waiting for something to happen to change the situation, for better or worse. And so the members of Clan Ashara, with their friends in tow, return back to their clan. |
Sina Leaves Early
A good part of the morning is spent packing with haste but care, and saying temporary goodbyes to those she'll see back at Skyhold. Clan Ashara receives more formal goodbyes, and a promise of her continued attention and assistance, should they need it.
awooo
Nahariel's ears, on the whole, were not the drooping sort; but one could be forgiven for thinking the tips a little closer to the ground as she helped her clansister to put together a few small light packs.
noooo
"I just wish I could stay longer. But I suppose the Inquisition will want to hear back quickly." Not to mention, there may or may not have been something here with Clan Ashara that made her a little less reluctant to leave-- she had a lot to think about, and the more distance she got, the easier that would be.
i want tooooo
"Do you know what this is about?" Even if she wasn't going, she couldn't help wanting some idea of what Sina was walking into. "Mediation between clans and shem? Or... the Inquisition isn't coming into conflict with the People, is it?"
I'm the alpha
And people have died, she thinks, but how is that different? Their own clan kills shems that venture too near, she can't condemn another clan for doing the same thing.
"I'm of the understanding that we'll have a chat, maybe bargain a little, and be on our way."
i knoooooow
If not...
Well. She decided there was room for a little more elfroot in the pack she'd closed, and fiddled with the strings to re-open it.
Re: i knoooooow
"I'll see you soon," she murmurs, "back at Skyhold, after both our missions are complete."
play now :(
"At Skyhold, then. I'll make sure to make your farewells again to Isen, Nymii, and Sedi for you, when we part," Nari says, giving Sina's shoulder a squeeze. She raises a hand in farewell, and turns to leave... but quickly spins on her heel. "Oh!" she exclaims, "I meant to ask." The hunter patted her belt pouch, smiled as she was answered by the sound of crinkling paper, and pulled out a small parcel.
"I brought some seeds from the Skyhold garden to send home," she explained, unwrapping a letter from around it. "I don't know if they'll grow in the forest, but we might as well try. Would you mind writing down some cultivation notes to send along?"
III'M REAAALLY TIIIRED
Taking the parcel, she inspects it with a grin. "I don't have time right now-- I must be on my way-- but I'll send them with my next letter to the Keeper." She hands it back. "You're so thoughtful, vhenan."
Leading the horse toward a stump, she steps atop it and clumsily swings her leg over to mount, still a bit awkward at riding but getting the hang of it. It's a necessity, these days.
"I'll see you back at Skyhold," she says with a wave, "daleth shiral, my friend."
you're rude
As Sina struggles a bit with her seat, Nari reaches to help guide the foot closest to her to its proper place in the stirrup, looking up with a grin.
"Dareth shiral, da'halla. I'll see you soon," she replied. After the horse moved away, the hunter sat on the stump and watched until her clansister was out of sight.
A touch of foreboding made her cross her arms and frown. But no. She shook her head.
Everything was going to be fine.
