It's not every day the First Warden has a birthday party. In fact, it only happens once a year, provided multiple First Wardens don't get offed. It's been known to happen.

But it isn't happening any time soon, likely, which means the big birthday party with a lot of invitees is the best place to crash to try to get some desperately needed information. And while there are certainly dignified ways to do it, by slipping in a few bards or some servants, dignity is low on the list for this infiltration.

Their mission, as they've chosen to accept it, is to gather information while pretending to be entertainers. Let's hope this doesn't self destruct in five, four, three, two...

"You could always go in naked," Anders suggests. "It would be even more distracting."

Please don't choose to go in naked, he adds mentally.

"I mean, streaking is totally a distracting thing." A pause. "Prrrrrrrrrrobably would get me kicked out pretty darn fast, though. Assuming they could catch me!"

"And then it would get the rest of us kicked out, which isn't exactly what we're going for."

He's grinning, though. "Pick one of the outfits and make sure it fits. I can do some minor alterations if there's nothing that quite works out, but I don't have anything on hand to change it in a major way."

"We'd, uh, make a heck of an impression though?"

Yeah, no. Let's not jeopardize your first mission, Prompto. That doesn't look real good on a resume.

"Okay, okay," he mutters as he rummages through them. "Also, I'm... not super talented in the, ah, performing arts. Anytime anyone laughs at me is because I tripped over something."

Anders nods, expression getting a little more serious as he thinks it over.

"I'd talk to Ciri, if I were you. She suggested she has a background in performing like this; she might be able to find a performing talent you can pretend at. Unless you've some magical ability?" Then Anders might be able to help, but even then it's questionable. Magic doesn't seem to translate well between worlds.

"Magic? Ah, no. Outside a certain family, people in my world can't use it like you guys can here." He's chucked magic contained in flasks, but even then, those were because of Noctis. Prompto just threw them where needed. "Although, I do know a card trick or two. Not 'real' magic, but sleight of hand."

"Slight of hand would work, if Ciri can't find you a better option," Anders muses outloud. "I've only seen a few people trying card tricks. It could count as entertainment enough, or the stealing-coins-from-behind-ears thing, can you do that?"

"Oooh yeah, I can do that!" Prompto pauses. "Maybe with a little bit of practice. It's been awhile." Sadly, with all the traveling they were doing back home and that whole fighting the empire bit, Prompto didn't have much time for such things. "But I can still try other stuff if you don't think it'd be enough. What sort of entertainment do they usually have at events like this? I kind of have a feeling it's different than what we have back in my world."
