Shale makes grumbling sound, but they even move a bit closer to the stairs so Merrill can use them to get to their head without having to climb the golem. Sitting down might mean a lot of annoying re-muddening when getting up, after all.

If this strange little elf was going to wash them, they better at least keep clean for a day.
