Here there are no sweeping villas or open plains or anything in the slightest bit grand. The lighting is dim, dismal, as though someone kept it low on purpose. It is a single room with a candle on the far wall and a large, heavy, locked door. There are no windows, no way to see out except by the barred opening in the door itself.
Terra sits, huddled in the corner, arms wrapped around her legs. The spirits are heavier here, too, whispering incessantly. Terra stares into the dark for a moment before she lowers her face to her knees, burying it there.
