Smiling gently, Hermione points out, "Lots of people would rather save themselves than save others. If there's anyone that you'd risk yourself for, even hypothetically, that makes you a far better person than many in the world. Or, well... in any world, all things considered."

Her smile widens when he explains what sort of hero he'd rather be, and while she tries not to speak as though she knows exactly what he means based on her experiences, she does tell him, "That's the best sort of hero of all. Then you don't have to worry about undue attention whenever you want to take a walk or get something to eat."
