Ariadne was sitting on the banister to the staircase as the Rifters (and others) arrived. She looked a little bit like a decoration, really. A doll or a kitchen witch, just sitting out there for ambiance.

But she smiled when she saw Kirk approaching. A full and open smile that reached her eyes.

"Well, hello there," she said, rippling her fingers shyly in greeting. "I was hoping that you'd come."
