Ariadne shook her head slightly. The Dragian faith her mother espoused believed in the necessary balance of light and dark, something Ariadne found a little bit repugnant. She didn't like the idea of believing that good couldn't exist without evil.

And she and her mother had had many shouting matches to that effect.

"Not a religion," she replied. "Just something I believe." A pause. "You can call me a fool if you like. Everyone else does."
