"I'm afraid little is really common among the Dalish now," Ellana stresses. "The clans are all spread out and we only meet every ten years. It means that what one clan does could be completely different from what another does." She knows most don't seem to understand that, even though it's perfectly logical. Just because they pass down their lore and traditions doesn't mean their day-to-day life is identical in every clan.
"I can say that in my clan, we didn't have pets. We raised halla, but they're our brothers and sisters. We take care of them and they help us move our aravels."
