A hint of suspicion in the glance that follows Avery to sitting, but not enough to stop her from accepting the plate that she's offered; she still isn't hungry, really, but apparently people need food to live. Or something. Dwelling on whether or not there is anyone who'd be concerned if she just didn't bother is a morbid thought that she decides not to have - and the easiest way to avoid finding out that there isn't is just to. Eat the food.

She picks at it a bit, lackluster, but -

"Thank you," because she was ... well. She wasn't raised correctly, but she certainly had etiquette lessons.
