When patrolling the battlements, Malcolm tends toward bringing a cloak, just in case. Up away from the heat sink of Skyhold, high enough where the cold mountain air can catch one unawares, he feels it's usually prudent to ward off a chill before going back down or inside. He slips his off and offers it to her. A chilly mountain breeze won't bother him for a time.

"The Frostbacks tend to be treacherous to those who don't know how to navigate them. And most do not, save for a few trails for merchants to trod through from Orlais to Ferelden, or vice versa.
