The child looks up at the voice, staring at Raylan with a wide-eyed expression that seems to stem from surprise and... fear? His entire body goes incredibly tense when the other approaches closer, and when he gets too close for comfort the child lets out a sound and tries to back away - something that isn't exactly easy to do right now, considering the fact that he's on a table right now and could easily fall off the edge if he isn't careful.

Fortunately that doesn't happen - if only because the child is too weak to really move much. Instead he's stuck where he's kneeling and can do nothing more than try to (futilely) lean away.
