How interesting the contents of the journals are is dependent on how squeamish Raylan feels about autopsy reports. Not that're called as such here, of course - but the pages are filled with notes about the dead being cut up and examined. They're rather clinically detailed, in the total interest of somebody who's making notes of the weather.
