He slips away for a time on his own, after they reach the village again. When he returns, he looks a little less broken, a little more human, but he's still quiet, still tired. What he'd done he had to do. He'd helped stop further pain. But he'd so badly wanted to help another abomination, and he'd so badly wanted to not kill another innocent ever again, and he'd failed at both.
On the journey he's a lot more quiet than usual as well. For once, he's not really starting a lot of conversations, though he does manage to drag himself out of his mental fog when someone speaks to him.
