Remarking that it had seemed a bit more personal than generalised prejudice - that they both use one another's names, not irrelevant - doesn't seem like a politic way to continue this conversation in a direction that gets her what she wants, which right now is really just 'more conversation'. Lexa is interesting, independent of tweaking Bellamy's nose.

(That it makes him do that thing with his face is just a bonus.)

"Well," she says, instead, "that's why I wanted to get acquainted. I know it isn't true, but I hate to settle at just 'not savages'. It's about as simplistic." After a slight pause, "This isn't for publication in a direct sense, so much as - I don't know, if you have an opportunity for knowledge, and you just ignore it, that's willful ignorance. As Bellamy demonstrates," with cheerful, merciless fondness; the second little sister he didn't ask for or want.

"Willful ignorance is the worst sort. And I'm writing about the Inquisition, about what it means, and - it means something to you, as well, doesn't it? Everything in context. You say fewer stupid things, in general, if you understand a few more things. In general."
