Who really knew? He didn't much notice his word choice, and he could always rationalize it in the fact they did, indeed, share a bed. It saved on space, it was comfortable, and it was not as if he and Sam did not enjoy intimacy together. It brought him comfort, Sam's presence at his back or against his chest, his scent and the beat of his heart in his ear. Perhaps after nearly five months, possibly more, it was time to give up a battle and default to what the reality was - "ours".
