bookish_lioness: (So worried over you)

Hermione isn't entirely sure whether or not she should believe Jamie when he claims he hadn't been exposed to red lyrium, but she supposes he'd have a much lesser chance of survival if he'd been hurt and forcibly exposed to the red sort. Just being in the cavern with Anders and the others, dealing with the trace remnants of it and reading through the notes she'd found had been enough to make her ill. The blue one, though, is supposed to be safer, more regulated....

But then, nothing is wholly safe during wartime. She knows that much from experience.

Jamie's implication catches her by surprise, and she blinks down at the wave of green from his hand before meeting his eyes again. "They're... experimenting with the effects of lyrium on rifters?" That sounds bad enough, but how much longer until their enemies decide to cross that line and shift their experiments over towards the more unstable sort of lyrium? What would happen then?

"What did they do to you?"
