Avery has a tendency to just stick to her work, keep her head down, and avoid interacting with most people she crosses paths with in Skyhold, so she sees a lot of faces without really seeing them. She considers animals a lot better company than people most of the time, and maybe that's something she and Hermione can almost find some common ground on.

"Less chatty as well," she adds, looking away. "And less stubborn and surly when they're injured."
