Grand and extravagant. Hermione can't help but wonder if all Circles are built that way and most of the other mages she's spoken to have simply failed to notice in light of how terrible their experiences had been, or if only certain Circles had been extravagant while others had been the polar opposite. The latter would explain the varying points of view, but she can't tell which of those options are, ultimately, worse.
Shrugging her shoulder just slightly, she tries to offer a smile, even if she isn't particularly in an overly encouraging mood. "Skyhold has more than enough people for you to eventually develop a connection to at least one or two. For some people, that's all you really need."

But she can tell there's a genuine emotional connection between Amélie and her Circle, so she isn't going to press as much as she wants to. Instead, she softly says, "I know the feeling. When I first got accepted to my magic school, everything felt so different. But I was so caught up in learning everything there was to learn about magic that I'd forgotten that the other students weren't just classmates; they could potentially be friends. Luckily, two boys helped me to see that. While Hogwarts will always be very special to me, it's not the bricks and stones you fall in love with. It's the people inside them."
