She calms down a little at his reaction, though as she explains, "It's not a matter of wanting to. Someone opened a rift right here in Skyhold not long before I'd arrived. That must have been terrible." Especially if the shards are somehow able to trigger the opening of a rift automatically, without the rifter's guidance. That thought would be more than just a little terrifying.

Hermione is a little alarmed when Jamie asks her to help him out, and her face says as much. Glancing towards the exit before looking back at him, she uncertainly reaches out for his hand, though it's anyone's guess whether she actually intends to pull him.

"I don't know that you should really be moving much right now. Wouldn't it be easier to just... talk this out?"
