Well this isn't the greatest way to get Cade on one's good side, and this becomes abundantly clear as Yngvi continues speaking. Cade will always be a Templar, he's certain, regardless of how things go. He took a vow. It's a way of life. You don't just stop being a Templar because the chantry can't get itself in order.
Or... perhaps you do, but he won't accept it.
