Sam chuckles, tightening his grip on her belt a bit. He doesn't so much pick her up, but he does keep her waist above the water at least. Once the water seems low enough for her to stand on her own though he sets her down, making sure to keep a hand on her shoulder to make sure she's settled before completely letting go.
