Hermione really was rubbish at naming things, which was why she'd been glad that Crookshanks had come pre-named. She thought back to various Greek gods and historical figures, and while most of them seemed much too imposing to belong to such a tiny kitten, she had the feeling that Iskandar would probably find some humor in that and approve.

Remembering about Iskandar's alleged origins, she paused for a few moments to make sure she had her facts right before suggesting, "How about... Hephaestion?" He was supposed to have been one of Alexander the Great's closest friends, if her history was correct, but that could go either way in terms of how Iskandar might feel about the name.
