Velanna has enough time to roll her eyes at Ashton's chastising, but anything she might have said in response is cut off by Nathaniel's appearance. She's not entirely certain what just happened, she missed the exchanged between Teren and he, but it doesn't matter. She can surmise that Lady must have found something.

Rather than pointing her staff at anyone she remains standing where she is, almost casually, though Velanna could never be described as someone who is off her guard.
