Velanna tries to get clear of the ice as it shoots towards her, but she doesn't make it, spikes hitting her in the side and knocking her from her feet. She lets out a growl, more anger than pain, and pushes herself back up, ignoring the ice sticking out of her hip. She slams her staff into the floor, this time all the tapping earlier becomes more or less apparent as roots rip up from the cracks in the stones, creating a path of destruction on their way towards Ashton.
