"We'll stop soon," she grumbles, more from general misery than from irritation with Alistair, "seeing as the bloody sun's already deserting us." As if finding their direction wasn't hard enough, traveling at night is made nearly impossible by the absence of stars.
After several long moments of silence, she adds, "Bethany. We'd get the most meat off you, but then we'd have to carry it, and Kaisa's too loud. She'd attract bears and then it'd all be for naught."
