Relief washed over him seeing the others arrive, instinctually moving closer to Samouel. The others certainly had more luck than they did, though he thought it was odd that the pieces would be so easily accessible and not hidden further into the ruins. But considering they had no blade, maybe that was the point. A giant trap.

But what did he know about places like this? Giant dead spiders, most likely killed by the person who doused the nearby fire. Damn, this was getting creepier by the moment.

"All we have is this fire," Kirk motioned. "It's recent too." He looked to Ellana. "Your suspicion that someone else was here is more than likely correct, but I can't say if they're here now or coming back. Either way, it's something else we need to look out for if we keep going further in."
