Ellana's expression is pure thrill on hearing they found a piece of the sword, but now isn't the time to take it out to look at. They all know now that someone or a couple someones at least are in here, and they need to be on their guard, so she nods at Jim and turns back towards the corridor as Galadriel moves forward with her radiant light guiding them. The freestanding wall between the large room and the corridor is covered with growth, just like the other ruins, and Ellana doesn't give it a second glance. Nor does she really look at the growth of large roots around the doors. The tapestry is more interesting, but again, she's seen its like before. It seems the ancient elves or elves of the Dales enjoyed repeating motifs.

Galadriel will soon see how ironic her words were, because as soon as she pushes open the doors, a trip line breaks behind it and everything explodes into chaos. And flames. The area around the doors explodes outwards. It seems someone has hidden materials back behind the tapestry and large roots similar to what the dwarves use to clear tunnels. Not only that, but oil too, and something that ignites it. The ceiling shakes as chunks of rock start falling down, blocking them from the way they came on all sides. Merrill and Jim especially are effected by the trap. Whether thrown back, hit from falling stone above, or caught up in the fire, they suffer a bit more than the rest of the party does.

For her part, Ellana helpfully screams, throwing an arm over her head as the walls shake and the ceiling starts to come down. But the open doors show a set of stairs leading down to another door. It seems to be their only escape from the fire and cave in they're experiencing.

"Hurry! Down the stairs!" Who can say what this other door holds in store for them, but it's better than staying here where the only result is certain death.

[ ooc: I'm sorry, Merrill and Jim! It's because you rolled the lowest numbers. I left it vague so you can play around with the severity of their injuries. ]
