Hermione actually jumped when she saw how close the arrow had come to hitting Iskandar, even though she was under the impression that, even if it had hit him, it wouldn't have actually done him much damage. That wasn't the point, though. The point was that she'd nearly shot him!

... and yet, he still looked as though he'd just overheard her telling a good joke. She'd never understand this person.

"I'm so sorry!" she blurted out, quickly taking the arrow and putting it behind her back as though to hide an offensive object from sight. "Sorry, it just... slipped. I should probably steer clear of projectiles, honestly. Or at least practice when there aren't other people around. I don't want to hurt anyone."
