The suddenness of the hug and the sheer force of it knocks some of the air out of his lungs, and it takes the mage a moment to figure that he was indeed being hugged. Slowly he eventually returns the gesture, leaning into the embrace and wrapping his arms around Norrington, holding tight, but loose enough that he could pull away if needed.

"Seems like I always make you worry." This would be the second time he's gone someplace when something major happened and being thought for dead; the first being the Conclave.
