No matter how many times she witnessed it, Hermione would never understand how Iskandar could keep himself so optimistic. She often found such unabashed optimism a bit foolish, but she didn't view it that way with him. She didn't know how to view it.

"Are we safe, though?" she asked, looking around. "It looks more like we're in hiding. Which would mean that people are looking for us, and so there's a chance of being found.
