Waver looks utterly beside himself with embarrassment when Cole manages to find the knife before he does. Still, he takes it, ignoring the red in his own cheeks and the fact that goddamnit, he'd rather not be seen by anyone while practicing until he's at least competent.

"I'm going off the advice of a friend as to weapons to learn," he murmured. Waver knew about mages and staffs here in Thedas, but learning with something else was the point. He needed something that wasn't magic.
