Nathaniel meets that gaze and glances away after a moment, unsure if he has been too forgiving or not forgiving enough. Cade is shy and flinching, but Anders has been subject to systemic oppression and that is difficult to compare to anything else.

"Then that is where we shall begin," he agrees, unsure if it is bias or judgment which determines that. As both seem in agreement, he decides it must not be such a bad conclusion. "As both Cade and Anders seem to have similar stories, there is no excuse otherwise."
