Provisions are stretched thin; Skyhold was better provided and Skyhold was up a mountain. You can talk sweetly, drive bargains as best you can but at the end of the day they're viewed with suspicion from all corners and they have to put resources elsewhere. Meals need to be filling, they need to last. Araceli could try to argue morale but given where they are and what they're doing, she might as well go howl into the wind for the good it'd do. They'll have better, eventually.

"If they're giving the mages a break," Araceli replies from stirring a pot of stew cobbled together from whatever she could grab that would fill hungry bellies and still taste good (because that matters and yes, she might have thrown a ladle at someone's head but they'd all laughed about it). "I think that means you're on a break too sirena, no?"

It's tempting though, she hardly sees Korrin unless she's falling into bed exhausted and as clean as she can manage.
