The reason Yngvi's in Kirkwall this early is two-fold but technically one-fold: dwarves. He's a dwarf from the Carta so he can deal with red lyrium but he can also get hold of more dwarves to deal with red lyrium. Never stood a chance. It makes him twitchy. The jokes that felt safe in Skyhold are closer to the bone here when there are people that give a shit about them and can tease apart all the threads of them to get at the truth.
