"Do you feel like this is another eggshells moment?" The question was asked in earnest, because Waver felt he was a poor judge. He could only go by what he had heard from so many other people, and Araceli's perspective was different. Getting that was always key. "Beyond eggshells, I feel like the history of the place is going to force truths and past actions to the forefront because well, there's so much to look at and can be learned from if done well."

There was also the question of what is 'done well' but one massive question at a time.

"I'll also try and explain some of the component parts, but I'm not an engineer by any stretch of the imagination," Waver said. Explaining steampower would be one thing. Motors? Not remotely his field. "So forgive me if I sound slightly inexpert on some parts."


Magi weren't known for being practical or involved in the world. Waver tried his best to counteract that, but it wasn't as if he knew he'd need to talk about engineering while in another world entirely.

"I like that interpretation," he said with a smile. It suited Araceli too, and the nature of the whole conversation come to think of it. "I don't think there'll be a better one."
