He almost thought he imagined the sounds of the lute drifting through the halls, and would have scoffed at the notion of the place being haunted except, well, this was Thedas.
Curiously (but cautiously), he followed it until he came to Ellana's room. For a brief moment he thought of turning away, recalling the last length of time they had spent together and the sour taste it had left in his mouth. But the song she played was nice, lovely even despite the occasional bad note, and he couldn't very well walk away from that.
"I don't think I've ever heard you play," he commented from the doorway, giving her a smile with one upturned corner of his mouth.
