Even for someone who's always admired the Avvar more than feared them, she's not at all what he'd anticipated. He'd expected her to be standoffish at best, cold and forbidding at worst--but he ought to have given the benefit of the doubt to someone who joined the Inquisition of her own volition for the purpose of helping and healing. She's not at all like the unfriendly woman of his imagination.
