Yes, the Inquisition has done great things in Orlais, but that doesn't mean he considers them belonging to the world. He's wholly removed from them and their mission, and he wishes for Christine to be removed from it as well.

He glances sidelong at Araceli, wanting to voice how people from rifts can't be trusted but, well, then he sees her hand too. He can't allow his future wife to dally with a possible demon.
