The impulsive action catches her by surprise, as Inessa's well aware that he's not usually so demonstrative. Self-consciously, she smiles back, and that genuine smile of his catches her attention. Seeing it now, it comes to mind that he doesn't do that nearly often enough. And he really should, it's a wonderful smile.
