Her knuckles are white. Wren can maintain composure, when required; she has been looking for an excuse not to for the better part of a month.

(For two and a half years.)

"You are not his commanding officer any longer. While he is here, he serves the Inquisition, and you've done him as much disservice as you both did by that woman."

She doesn't sit. She doesn't move. Self-righteousness is always a comfortable position — the moral high ground being so vanishingly rare of late.

"If this is addressed, it will be through the proper channels, and it will damn well include you."

Count the times a Seeker's been held accountable, and she doesn't expect them to be now. If pressed, she'll admit it's better for everyone's image if they aren't, if the blame can be swept neatly onto a scapegoat once again. Mages and templars, you know how they are,
