Seated very still on the wooden cot, Atticus opens his eyes. For an instant, his pupils are blown wide and black; then he blinks, and seems to come back to himself. He glances towards the Templar and rises to his feet, like a gentleman demonstrating courtesy when a lady has entered the room.
"Ser Coupe," he greets her courteously. "How kind of you to visit us."
When her attention shifts to Benedict, he says nothing, and his gaze starts to wander again.
