Atticus paces slowly over to the bars to stand where he can see the Knight Commander as he prowls to the end of the corridor, to where their cells are situated so as to isolate them from the other prisoners. He watches Norrington's approach with interest, seeming to appraise the Templar in turn. Whatever his verdict is, he keeps mum about it, his expression deceptively mild.

"...have you been mistreated or abused? Or are you abusing and mistreating one another?"

He smiles impenetrably and dips his head once. "I thank you for your concern, Ser Templar, but we are not ill-treated."
