"Something like that! It's probably why the primal school of magic comes so easily to me as well," she says with a light chuckle. "It certainly falls in line with more destruction types of magic."

Still, Saoirse listens quietly but is soon enough offering him a soft smile. "It was very hard as a child, as I said. Most do not care for mages, and to find out you can only hurt and fall in line with those terrible views they threw at you? There were many nights that I laid awake and cried."

There were many, many nights like that in the Gallows. Nights when it sometimes became too much and she wished she could be anyone besides herself. Nights when all she wished to do was sooth the hurt her fellows were feeling...

"But, as you said, I have many more talents and ways of helping. I can be part of the light that shows the world they have nothing to fear from us."
