It's... not the answer Fern was expecting, but then again, nothing about the way this day has gone is at all what she expected. Frowning thoughtfully, she looks away from Teren and out across the water again.

"I'm fine," she mumbles a couple seconds later. She's not, not really; but maybe what she really wants is just to be left alone, just for a little while.
