i. Inquisition stablegrounds
Though Geneviève moved into Hightown, she maintained a stall in the Inquisition stables for Calixte. Partially because she knew the horsemaster would care for him if she was called off on business that required her to leave him behind, and partially so she'd have to stop in to see him and by and large make her rounds around Inquisition grounds.

While she trusted in the care of those who looked after the bulk of the Inquisition horses when she was away, when she was able she greatly preferred to look after Calixte herself, including cleaning out his stall and grooming. It's not typical work for a chevalier, but she doesn't mind it.

Currently she's sitting on a high stool in the stall, talking and occasionally singing to the horse in Orlesian as she braids his mane with gold and red beaded cords she picked up in Llomerryn. They're hardly chevalier standard, but as she's the only chevalier currently with the Inquisition, she doubts anyone will call her out. Her hair is braided back and she's wearing dirty breeches and shirt, evidence of the work she'd only been doing a little while earlier.

ii. along the coast of the Waking Sea

Riding is a special time for Evie. Growing up going between her family's estates one of the few constants had been being able to slip out and go until the rest of the world was a distant blur.

With the crystals, the rest of the world is a little closer, now. At least those who need to keep in touch with her. When she goes out riding she does so for an entire day, rather than a few hours, seeing how far down the coast she can get before she needs to turn back.

She's stopped on a stretch of beach for lunch and a bit of a rest for both her and Cal. It's getting cooler so she brought a cloak but it's spread out on the sand now, the day unseasonably warm. She lays on top of it, listening to the waves and watching the clouds drift by overhead.

iii. Kirkwall Markets

While chevalier are expected to prepare their own meals on the battlefield, since it's not always possible to travel with a full attache of cooks and servants, meal prep has never exactly been one of Evie's strong points. When at Skyhold, that hadn't been a problem. Even now in Kirkwall more often than not she takes meals out or eats with the rest of the Inquisition in the Gallows.

Still, she has a lovely kitchen in her apartment, and gets a wild thought to make an attempt to cook for herself every now and again. This thought has her wandering through the Kirkwall market, looking pensive as she squeezes tomatoes and peppers.
