"I think you are quite correct in your first proposition, if we can judge at all from this - ah - isolated incident," Alacruun cocks his head curiously, as if he's considering the idea. Planes of existence tend to have their own rules, but he's never quite run into one like this before. Besides, it looks like the Material Plane. Just... much colder than the places he tends to actually spend most of his time.

"Squibs? Well, one must learn how to weed out the failures, I suppose..." The idea of a wizarding family isn't entirely new to him, but as far as he knows wizarding ability about mortals is mostly about study and dedicating one's life. Less any innate talent.

"Can't they learn anything? Even with extensive study? That seems... so strange. Perhaps it's a moral and intellectual failing more than anything."
