"I agree," Newt nods from where he sits, his gaze falling to the little joey in Alex's coat, smiling at the sight. "If we leave early enough, that should give us plenty of time to explore. We probably shouldn't wander too far. Just from a quick glance, there doesn't seem to be anywhere else to go for shelter for miles around."

Probably more than that, truthfully, but Newt's hazarding the best guess he can, at this point.

"I have my wand, and using the spell to light up the dark tends to work better than others, I've found," he says. "So if we need to go and round up others after dark, we have that option."
