"Honestly, it's a wonder more didn't catch ill considering how brutally cold it was," Anders says, bringing over an herb infused broth. "I don't know how anyone manages to live in places where it's always snow, long-term."

He takes a seat and offers out the bowl.

Janzik squints at the broth, and does his level best to sniff it, but it only makes his clogged sinuses hurt and sets his lungs aching again.

"At least if this shit turns me blue again, we'll know it's just the cold," he mutters, voice hoarse. "Snow can go to hell. My people ain't built for snow. We come from the tropics. Sandy beaches, palm trees...active volcanoes..."

He sips the broth, wishing he could taste it better. "Glad you didn't freeze solid, at least."
