Gorse had heard the screams and roars. He was distinctly unequipped to do any kind of fighting, but he wasn't about to run and hide before he knew that people were safe. It was in that rush to find others that he came across Taas.
Gorse had never had to experience the kind of horror the other Qunari had gone through. He was raised in a sheltered and closed environment, someplace safe.
Someplace safe and closed for the benefit of all the adults that had surrounded him that went through things like Taashath had.
Gorse comes around to the front, to make sure Taashath sees him approach. He holds his hands up to show they're empty, to hope the movement gets Taashath's attention. It won't be much help if he can't get the other to listen to him, but he's going to try.
"Taas - Taashath!" Gorse yells, he normally wouldn't raise his voice in this kind of situation but he knows he has to shout his loudest to be heard even like a whisper. "Taashath, whatever you're seeing, hearing - it isn't real. I know it feels that way, but you're in Skyhold, you aren't there."
