It sounded like it had to be from some tome of knowledge. Clearly written by someone wise, someone who has seen enough of life. If Katniss had known Benevenuta's thoughts -- she would have agreed with them. Except her goals were to help the people, and she would do whatever she had to do to accomplish that. In that, she was a realist, because she knew the world could not become a better place unless people put their hands directly in to help shape it.
